1. Scope
This Privacy Notice explains how the public website at sumcontext.ai (the “Site”), operated by Mike Sax under the SumContext name from Colorado (“SumContext,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information. It applies to the Site, information we receive when you schedule a meeting, and communications arising from that meeting request.
It does not govern a client’s systems, data, or paid engagement. Those matters belong in the applicable signed client agreement and any related data-processing terms. It also does not replace the privacy notices of third-party sites you choose to visit.
2. Information we process
Website and interaction analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and which meeting buttons are useful. Vercel may record a timestamp, page path, referrer, filtered query parameters, approximate location, operating system, browser, device type, and analytics-script version. We also record a custom event called “Book Meeting Click” with the button’s page placement: Header, Hero, Plan, or Final CTA.
Vercel states that these analytics data points are anonymous and are not tied to an individual or IP address. Vercel identifies a visitor through a request-derived hash rather than a cookie and discards the visitor-session identifier after 24 hours. We do not put names, email addresses, or other contact details into custom analytics events.
Hosting and security data
As with any hosted website, infrastructure providers necessarily receive technical request information, such as an IP address, browser information, requested resource, and timestamp, to deliver and protect the Site, prevent abuse, and diagnose reliability or security issues.
Scheduling and communications
If you choose to book through Calendly, Calendly may collect information you submit, such as your name, email address, phone number if requested, time zone, meeting selection, answers, and notes. We receive the information needed to schedule and prepare for the meeting and any later communications. Do not include confidential, regulated, or sensitive information in scheduling notes.
We use Google Workspace services, including Gmail and Google Calendar, to receive booking notices, manage meetings, and communicate with you. Google may process contact information, calendar details, and message content on our behalf for those purposes.
Google Fonts
The Site loads fonts through the Google Fonts Web API. Google states that the API does not set or log cookies. Your browser’s font request sends Google an IP address, the requested Google URL, and HTTP headers including browser, operating-system, and referrer information. Google states it uses the IP address to deliver the font and for security, and does not use Google Fonts data to create end-user profiles or for targeted advertising.
3. How we use information
We use information only as reasonably necessary to:
- operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site;
- measure aggregate traffic and meeting-button performance;
- schedule meetings, respond to inquiries, and evaluate possible engagements;
- keep appropriate business, security, and compliance records;
- enforce our Terms of Use and protect rights, safety, and property; and
- comply with law and valid legal process.
We do not use Site analytics for targeted advertising or automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
4. When information is disclosed
We may disclose information to:
- Vercel, which hosts the Site and provides privacy-focused Web Analytics;
- Google, whose servers deliver the Site’s fonts and whose Google Workspace services support email and calendar operations;
- Calendly, when you choose to schedule a meeting;
- professional advisers or contractors who need the information to support the business and are subject to appropriate obligations;
- authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or establish or defend legal claims; and
- a successor in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell personal data, exchange it for a discount, or disclose it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly share personal data for targeted advertising or qualifying high-impact profiling.
5. Cookies and universal opt-out signals
The SumContext Site does not set advertising cookies. Vercel Web Analytics is cookie-free. Google Fonts does not set or log cookies through its Web API. A third-party destination such as Calendly, LinkedIn, or X may use cookies or similar technologies under its own notice and settings after you follow a link.
Global Privacy Control and other recognized universal opt-out mechanisms are designed to opt out of sale or targeted-advertising processing. This Site does not currently perform either activity, so there is no such processing to turn off. If our practices change, we will update this Notice and honor recognized signals when applicable law requires it.
6. Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including scheduling and communications, security, business records, legal compliance, and establishing or defending claims. We then delete or de-identify it when reasonably practicable.
Vercel states that its request-derived visitor-session identifier is discarded after 24 hours; aggregated analytics remain subject to our account settings and Vercel’s retention practices. Calendly and Google Workspace process scheduling and communications information under their retention practices and our account instructions.
7. Data minimization and security
We limit Site collection to what is useful for operation, security, scheduling, and aggregate measurement. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and the size and nature of the Site.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Do not send passwords, access credentials, regulated data, trade secrets, or other sensitive information through the Site or a scheduling form.
8. Children
The Site is directed to business decision-makers and is not intended for children or minors under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the Site. If you believe a child submitted personal data to us, use the privacy contact method below so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, the context in which you interact with us, and applicable exceptions, you may have rights to:
- confirm whether we process your personal data and access it;
- correct inaccurate personal data;
- delete personal data;
- obtain a portable copy of personal data you provided;
- opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; and
- appeal a decision on a privacy request.
To exercise a right, use the privacy contact method below and describe your request. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity, authority, and the records involved. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, subject to verification. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.
When the Colorado Privacy Act applies, we will respond within 45 days, subject to the extension permitted by law. If we deny a request, you may appeal by using the same contact method with “Privacy appeal” and a short explanation. We will respond to a covered Colorado appeal within 45 days, subject to the extension permitted by law, and explain how to contact the Colorado Attorney General if the appeal is denied. Rights relating to information Calendly controls for its own purposes should be directed to Calendly.
Colorado note: The Colorado Privacy Act provides access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-out rights for covered processing, while excluding some commercial and employment contexts and applying statutory thresholds. We will evaluate each request under the law that applies to the interaction.
10. Third-party sites and their notices
Third-party services control their own sites and practices. Review the current notices for Vercel Web Analytics, Google Fonts, Google Workspace, Calendly, LinkedIn, and X. We are not responsible for their independent practices.
11. Changes to this Notice
We may update this Notice as the Site, vendors, or law changes. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
